The Yoder website and database are remarkable. I wasdelighted to find your site and can't wait to join yourassociation and receive the newsletter. I am a great-granddaughter of William Wesley Yoder (Con299),descended from Conrad Yoder in NC. His daughter, Anna, was my grandmother, and her family lived mostly inOklahoma and New Mexico. The "cousins" are planning a get-together in Clovis, New Mexico on June 7th, and Ihave been trying to find information on our ancestors.I'd like to receive information on the annual reunion inHickory, NC for the Conrad Yoder family. I would be gladto share information with others. Thanks!!!Lane Graves <lgraves@bellsouth.net>Lawrenceville, GA USA - Sunday, June 01, 1997 at15:00:23 (PDT)

How does one go about getting/finding out what hisYoderID# is? As to "City, State & Country," I'mpresently teaching at the UAE University in Al Ain,United Arab Emirates, but my family is ori- ginally fromBerks County, Pennsylvania. I've thoroughly enjoyed thiswebpage. Very nice!! It's funny-- the older one gets (atleast in my case), the more interested is in knowingabout his/her roots. And I think that in general, there's a lot of worthwhile information that can beuseful for us here and now when I find out about myancestors.Keith Maynard Yoder <kyoder@emirates.net.ae>- Friday, December 20, 1996 at 09:42:48 (PST)

A previously unseen version of notes by turn of thecentury North Carolina Yoder researcher George Yoder hasresolved some missing links! The notes included commentsbased on 1890s vintage correspondence with Yoder linesin Pennsylvania. These notes:1) Establish firmly thatJacob "Yoders" of the SW Pennsylvania Yoders family wasthe son of Melchior (see Yoder Newsletter 24) andreconfirm that William Yoder of Carroll Co,OH wasJacob's oldest son; 2) Establish that Charles T. Yoder(see YNL 18) was from the Oley line and where he fits(OY42411); and 3) seems to identify George Yoder ofVenango Co.,Pa as being OY426. --See the April 97 YNLissue for more details on these revelations!- ChrisYoder, EditorChris Yoder <cyoder@mail.tds.net>Battle Creek, MI USA - Friday, December 13, 1996 at19:52:05 (PST)
