This list was extracted from the Mennobits Project Main Index. It is a listing of all Yoder MAIDEN NAMES whose obituaries were published in the magazines Gospel Witness and Gospel Herald for the years 1905-1924.

This list gives Maiden Names of Yoder women. Only a few of the obituaries include maiden names, so not many are listed here. The designation "HT" after the year, as in "1907HT" means "1907, Herald of Truth". The Mennobits project is transcribing obituaries for three magazines: Herald of Truth (HT), Gospel Witness (GW), and Gospel Herald (GH), so there was a need to specify in the over-lapping years.The "HT", "GW", and "GH" designations were not stripped away for this extraction. The transcribing process continues.
A column has been added to this list -- "YNL - ID#". At the moment this column is under development. Chris says:
"The cross-references to the Yoder "ID" numbers are based on a cursory
review and assignment. The details of obituary and family have not been
compared in all cases, so some of the matches may not be correct. Send any
corrections or additions to Chris Yoder at cyoder@tds.net. We will also be
gradually expanding on and validating the cross-references."
Note: publication dates are NOT death dates, but the date the obituary was published; usually 2-6 weeks after the death.
