CENSUS RECORDS FOR YODER FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA -1800 - These
records were originally assembled in 1991 by Dorothy Yoder Coffman, 30 Grouse
Road, Malvern, Pa, 19355-2208. They have been retyped from her hardcopy and are
presented with her permission by the Yoder Newsletter. The Yoder Newsletter has
also added the identification number for those heads of household whose identity is
know. These codes relate to the family groups which have been archived elsewhere.--

"NOTES TO THE USER: All possible spellings of this name were included to
allow for human error in the hearing, spelling or transcribing of the name.
"The information contained here was taken from the printed texts, indexes and
microfilm found at the branch of the national Archives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The term 'printed index(s)' refers to those volumes generated by commercial or
private groups, and these can be found at the National Archive branches and in many
genealogical libraries. These printed indexes contain mistakes and omissions, and the
sorted indexes generated for this volume reflects these errors - just as they were found.
The information in the census records is shown exactly as it appeared on the
microfilm.
"Some of the microfilm used was of poor quality and often the writing was open to
question. An asterisk after a given name is used to indicate doubt about the name.
Every attempt was made to be as accurate in the transcribing as possible.
"The indexes for these census records have been sorted two ways -- by county and by
given name to allow the researcher to locate a given person or locality quickly. --
